The week in pictures

Last weekend we went to Little Rock to celebrate Landon's 9th birthday. Check out the amazing leopard cake below.Hadleigh and the birthday boy--she loves her cousin!
Hadleigh and Chelsea--Hadleigh is eyeing that cake
Hadleigh and Doc sporting their brown shirts. Where are Doc's leopard pants?
"I actually do smile, just not usually for the camera!"
So hungry she is trying to eat anything and everything, so...
...Let's try some squash! Yummy
A little messier than cereal, but not too bad.
Her new favorite toy is the remote. She hasn't figured out how to use it yet, thankfully.Daisy is trying to tell her out to change the channel to Animal Planet.Don't worry, we don't let Hadleigh sit in front of the tv all day. She keeps up with the business world as well. Apparently, there is something pretty hysterical on yesterday's front page of the WSJ.

That about sums up our week. We had a wonderful, very low-key Valentine's Day here. Hadleigh got her 1st Valentine's card from a boy in her class (2 actually)...very cute. Since she doesn't go on Thursdays, she missed out on the big party at school. Hopefully she's not too mad at us for keeping her home!

Sweet dreams

At last, we have reached the milestone we have been dreaming of for months now. Hadleigh can finally put her pacifier back in at night all by herself! We have had 3 nights in a row of not having to get up to replace the fallen pacifier. You can't imagine the excitement Christian and I felt as we watched her accomplish this monumental task on the video monitor from the comfort and warmth of our own bed! To ensure she is able to promptly find a pacifier, we surround her with 5 before she goes to bed each night. Maybe a bit overboard, but we take no risks when it comes to sleep. Below are some pictures of our nighttime routine and, as promised, my works of art from last week.
