Well, we had a very exciting weekend to say the least. We packed up early Thursday and flew to Atlanta for the SEC Tournament. We met my parents there and geared up for a long weekend of basketball. Who could have guessed the turn of events that occurred Friday night?! Luckily, Hadleigh and Christian were back at the hotel when the tornado hit. My parents and I were anxiously awaiting the UK game in the Georgia Dome when all of a sudden the roof started moving, lights were swaying, and the crowd silenced to the sound of a train. We really had no idea what had happened until we got word from people watching the game on TV that there was a tornado that hit downtown Atlanta. When the officials finally postponed the second game and allowed us to leave The Dome, we were able to see all the damage that had occurred. It was unbelievable! There was glass and twisted metal everywhere. Windows of cars and buildings were blown out. We even saw a chair from a hotel room that had been sucked out into the street. We are very thankful for small miracles (like overtime in the Alabama/Miss St. game) that kept people inside during the storm. It was truly an unforgettable, indescribable event.
We survived and the tournament went on, though most of the fans packed up and headed home. We were able to get into the games on Saturday at the Georgia Tech arena, thankfully. Christian and I sat on the 3rd row behind the Arkansas bench during the Tennessee game. He did his fair share of coaching/yelling at the team--I'm sure he had a lot to do with our win (so he thinks!). It was fun being so close--that will probably never happen again! Unfortunately, because of our flight back, we were not able to go to the championship game on Sunday. We had a great weekend despite our final loss and the crazy events that occurred in Atlanta. We are glad to be home all in one piece and are making plans for next years SEC Tournament in Tampa. Hopefully mother nature will be more accommodating next year!

So glad ya'll are safe... what a blessing. Did you get Hadleigh a new car seat?
No, my parents brought a borrowed car seat so we would not have to fly with ours. It made it much easier maneuvering through the airport without one!
