We are finally home and finished with all our Easter Weekend activities. It was a whirlwind of a weekend, but a good time was had by all. We started early this morning tromping through a very cold, heavy rain to get to the early service at church. Thank goodness it was crowded so it didn't take too long to warm up! After church, and a very brief nap, we headed to Devin's mom's house for a delicious lunch. Hadleigh joined Ava and the other kids in the egg hunt and then ate her weight in banana pudding...yummy! Thanks Bertrams for letting us partake in your family festivities!!!
After our bellies were full and we were all in need of a nap, we had to rally quickly and head straight to Scarlett's 2nd Birthday party. There, Hadleigh occupied herself with egg dying, cake eating, dancing, and lots of candy eating. Needless to say, we were all on a sugar-overload when we left. On the brink of a meltdown, we got home to discover all the Easter eggs that the Easter bunny had hidden last night that we never had time to hunt this morning. Hadleigh got excited over the first few, then Christian took over the hunt. The last picture sums up how she felt at the end of our exhausting weekend.
We really wish our families could have been here to join in all the fun, but we are so thankful for all our friends that made the weekend extra special. Happy Easter! Thanks Jesus for making it a special day!
